Discover the transformative magic of Rimmel Glam'Eyes Day2Night Mascara! Unveil a stunning lash look from day to night in our detailed review.
Glam'Eyes Day2Night is the latest mascara offering from Rimmel London. It comes with a 'magic 2 in 1 brush' to create dramatic lashes both for the day and night. Day, when you just need length to beautify your lashes, and Night, when you prefer to add some volume to create the extra oomph. It comes in two shades: Black and Extreme Black. I was sent the 003 Extreme Black to review.
The casing is attractive, black body and black cap for Length and pink for Volume. I was very excited when I received this, mainly because of the gorgeous packaging. I think having an attractive case is always a good choice, the ladies will always buy what looks good.
The back body of the mascara defines the functions of the two different caps in print. "Top Cap: Exceptionally defined and ultra-lengthened lashes. Bottom Cap: Thickens lashes with voluptuous, oversized volume. No clumps."
This is the snap of the Volume cap. Let me make this clear that the mascara does NOT have two different brushes, in fact it's one very clever brush serving the purpose of both the caps. I disliked the Volume part. The brush was clogged with the already too thick formula. It does not have the 'no clumps' feature. My lashes looked long-suffering under the weight of the formula. It didn't dry quickly and looked wet and clumpy. I was very dissatisfied with the Volume cap. You can see little peaks forming at the end of the brush in the picture.
This is the snap of the Length cap. I was satisfied with the Length part. It defined my lashes well, but one coat was enough as the formula is too thick. The Length cap takes little product on the brush and that's the 'magic' which the mascara claims to. It goes with 'little for the length and max for the volume' but again, the formula is TOO thick. I thick mascaras should have that nice light, airy feel to them. Plus it didn't have the 16 hour wear and no smudge, no flaking part.
I took of both the caps at the same time and I discovered how the mascara manages two different features with one brush. Notice the clogging of the product at the end of the Volume cap; when we take off the Length cap, the excess product gets wiped off at the end of the Volume cap resulting in long uncloggy lashes. But the Volume parts remains thick and cloggy, no where to wipe off the excess product.
I am afraid I won't suggest this product, it appears nice, you can have it in your collection of the Zooey Deschanel endorsed Rimmel products, but it won't give you much benefit.
Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Day2Night Mascara is available for $8.00
